Our program is meant to enhance communications between Memorial Hospital and your practice. The program will work to identify and bring to the attention of administration any concerns physicians may have about Memorial Hospital. This program will increase the speed with which we can respond with appropriate and timely action to your concerns.

WELCOME to d.o.c.s., the physician's on-line connection to Memorial Hospital of South Bend. In 2005, Memorial was the only hospital in Indiana selected as one of the top 100 hospitals in the U.S by Solucient.  Memorial is a 526-bed tertiary referral hospital located in Northern Indiana, close to both the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's College. Memorial Hospital is JCAHO accredited and certified by the Indiana Department of Health. Our Medical Staff numbers close to 600 physicians and approximately 140 Allied Health Providers including Podiatrists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Midwives and Practitioners. All medical specialties are represented on the Medical Staff, as well as, many subspecialties including; Perinatology, Gynecologic Oncology, Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatology, and Critical Care.

Memorial offers a Residency Program in Family Medicine with a total of (8) residents per year, as well as, (2) Sports Medicine Fellowships. We also offer a six-month OB fellowship for a family medicine resident graduate.

Memorial is a Level II Trauma Center, accredited by the American College of Surgeons. We also have a flight program, MEDFLIGHT, associated with the Trauma Center. Our annual emergency visits number approximately 45,000.
